I was nine years old when I got my first camera. My grandparents gave it to me as a summer gift before a long road trip around Iceland, and from that moment I fell in love with photography.
Growing up in the Westfjords, I was surrounded by raw, untamed nature. I saw how beautiful it could be—and how brutal. That contrast pulled me toward photographing rough landscapes and moody, stormy weather. It’s where I feel most at home.

Photography has always been part of my life in some way, but it wasn’t until I was 38 that I decided to follow my passion and go all in professionally. I haven’t had a single regret. There’s something special about when your passion becomes your “job”—it never really feels like work.

These days, I travel often to Iceland, the Faroe Islands, and Greenland to capture life, landscapes, and unforgettable moments. From sailing through fjords filled with icebergs to standing on cliffs above endless black beaches, I also bring the same passion into fashion, portraits, products, and video work.
